Description

A user (80631) connected to the MP-124 dials to another user (86538) and gets connected to him. When the user on the MP presses Flash, it sends an INVITE with a media address of zeroes. FreeSwitch answers with Trying, but OK never arrives, thus the MP times out. At teh time from the Trying message to the timeout, the other side (86538) hears music on hold (as expected).

A TCPDUMP is attached.

There are two pastebins:

One is for the above mentioned problem; in the meantime I've updated to the latest GIT but it behaves the same:

I also have similar problem with a newely installed AudioCodes Mediant-1000 (PRI gateway) when it enters fax mode:

I've found the conditions when this problem happens and when it doesn't.
The difference is with the coders defined in the re-INVITE for the hold request:

When there is only G.711 coder involved - it works ok.
When there is T.38 or even only: m=image 0 udptl 19, then the problem happens as described above.

I hope this gives enough pointers to locate it. If not, please tell me which more debugs you need.

If this is relevant, I have the following in the dial plan:
      <action application="set" data="fax_enable_t38_request=true"/>
      <action application="set" data="fax_enable_t38=true"/>

you are saying you have t38_request=true which means you want to send the re-invite but then you are also getting an invite?
you should not be doing both, you have to choose one based on the topology.
Also consider using sip_execute_on_image

sip_execute_on_image=t38_gateway self nocng

either in {} on outbound calls or with set on inbound calls
