Description
These days many users are using mobile phones with sip clients in them.
Iphone, android, windows.
Due to avoid battery drain, the apps don't even run in the background. Instead they are turned on based on push notifications.
So if a user is not registered, then he must be sent a push notification if he gets an incoming call and only if it fails should it go to voicemail.
There must be a push notification for voicemail also (giving number of voicemails). The frequency must be configurable based on the user or at least globally.
I think push notifications is a must for any voip solution due to increased mobile usage.
