When listening to voicemails for the user and chosen option on IVR menu to forward voicemail to email, it gets deleted after forwarding the voicemail attachment.

Could someone please help with this issue ASAP.

Please find the following the voicemail configuration

      
        <param name="vm-keep-local-after-email" value="true"/>
        <param name="vm-mailto" value="r.kolli@xxxx.com"/>
        <param name="vm-attach-file" value="false"/>
        <param name="vm-email-all-messages" value="false"/>
        <param name="vm-notify-email-all-messages" value="true"/>

are you sure you are running the current code for mod_voicemail because there was a problem with this but its been corrected for a while now.

I have checked out latest current code and tested this voicemail to email forwading issue, voicemails gets deleted. Please do the needful to me.

Version : FreeSWITCH Version 1.2.0-rc2+git~20120720T074326Z~a8019d803c (1.2.0-rc2; git at commit a8019d803c on Fri, 20 Jul 2012 07:43:26 Z).

Directory user configuration :

        <param name="password" value="xxxx"/>
         <param name="vm-mailto" value="r.kolli@xxxxx.com"/>
        <param name="vm-attach-file" value="false"/>
        <param name="vm-keep-local-after-email" value="true"/>
        <param name="vm-email-all-messages" value="false"/>

I dialed voicemail extension and ivr played and when i choose option to forward voicemail to email, it sent email to the r.kolli@xxxxx.com with attachment but file gets deleted from voicemail storage directory.

Please let me know if you need any more information to get to know more about the issue.

By design this option always deletes the file. It would take new code to change this behavior.

Thanks for the quick reply. So any plans to implement this functionality in freeswitch in the near future.

And also option vm-keep-local-after-email does not work in this case, Is this option for some other purpose ?.

There are not any plans really its always been this way.
The option you are talking about is only pertinent to the option to email all your vm.

Ok this is a feature request then. Perhaps you want to submit a patch with vm-keep-on-email-forward or something.
